Monolights earn loyalty by repetition, and the Altair repeats beautifully — tenth-stop steps, serial-measured colour, recycle that keeps pace with a working set's tempo.
These strobes are built the way rental houses wish all flash was: stable colour from full power to the ninth stop down, recycle times that hold at frame twenty of a burst, and user-replaceable flashtubes seated in machined mounts. Fans are temperature-governed and honest about their noise figure, and modelling LEDs track flash output so what you see is what fires.

Let fans finish their cool-down before casing; store capacitors formed by powering the unit monthly between jobs. Flashtubes and modelling LEDs are user-replaceable — handle tubes by ceramic, never glass. Annual service includes capacitor health, colour check and firmware.
