ELVARNIXO Rigging — gravity, negotiated

The Castor puts light where stands cannot stand: counterweights calibrated and labelled, reach and load tables printed on the arm, and safeties included because overhead is a promise, not a hope.

Overhead systems are engineered like the ceilings they hang from: rails rated with margin, carriages that glide under load, pantographs balanced so one hand moves what one hand should. Mounting must be to load-bearing structure by a qualified contractor — keep the installer's documentation, because studio insurance reads paperwork, not brochures.

Design & Craft

  • Motorised pantographs balanced for one-hand moves
  • Knuckles bite without stripping — serviceable, spares available
  • Counterweights calibrated and labelled by position
  • Legs level on cobbles, cables and church steps
  • Load ratings stamped, tested at double before batches ship

Care

Sand stays in sandbags: brush leg joints after beach and site work. Do not exceed stamped loads, ever, even briefly. Have rail systems inspected yearly by a qualified rigger.

Questions, Answered

Will stands survive location work?
Steel and aircraft aluminium, stainless fasteners, and legs that level on real terrain. Our rental fleet is the torture test.

Do you install rail systems?
No — we do not provide installation. Rail systems must be mounted to load-bearing structure by a qualified contractor; keep the installer's documentation for your insurance.

The ELVARNIXO Promise

Every card states the manufacturer's photometric and colour data — CRI, TLCI and output figures you can plan a lighting plot around.
