ELVARNIXO Shaping — light is made at the last metre
The Dioptra set is soft light with manners: even fields measured edge to edge, graded diffusion that stays neutral, grids cut to their labelled angles, and frames that assemble before the coffee cools.
A parabolic is a precision instrument pretending to be an umbrella: sixteen or twenty-four ribs holding a true curve, a focusing rod that glides and locks, and fabrics whose silver keeps its colour after the two-hundredth assembly. Ours are hand-finished, serialised, and repairable rib by rib.
Design & Craft
- Even field edge to edge, measured and printed
- Frames open in seconds and forgive the two-hundredth assembly
- Grids cut to true angles, labelled honestly
- S-type as standard; speedrings for major systems in the options
- Inner and outer diffusion in graded weights

Care
Open and close by the hub, not the ribs; keep speedrings matched to their fixture; and shake dust from grids rather than washing them. Fabrics keep their neutrality for years if they travel in their sleeves.
Questions, Answered
Can textiles be replaced?
Every panel, rib and diffusion layer is a stocked part for fifteen years. Modifiers should retire from fashion, not from failure.
How repeatable is the focus effect on the parabolics?
The rod is indexed — note the number, repeat the look. Beam maps at three rod positions ship in the box.
