ELVARNIXO Continuous — what you see is what you shoot
Continuous light finally earned the studio, and fixtures like the Tucana are why — crisp shadows, honest photometrics, dimming smooth to a tenth of a percent, and control from knob, board or phone without arguments.
An LED fixture is a colour instrument wearing a lamp costume. Ours start with binned emitters mixed by spectrometer, not by eye — CRI, TLCI and SSI stated in the specification — and hold their point through hours of tungsten-to-daylight travel. Drivers are flicker-free past 25,000 fps shutter equivalents, dimming curves are broadcast-smooth to a tenth of a percent, and thermals are engineered so output at minute ninety equals output at minute one.

Care
Dust is the enemy of thermals: clear intakes monthly and keep diffusion domes clean — output and colour depend on it. Update firmware when prompted; calibration data rides along. Never force a yoke bolt: torque figures are printed at the knuckle.

How loud is the fan?
Noise figures at each fan mode are in the specification, stated at one metre. Hush modes hold output within the stated derating.
Is it really flicker-free for high-speed work?
Drivers are rated by the manufacturer for high-speed work at all dimming levels — the stated figures are in the specification.
